Progressive is a very good insurance company. They actually care about their customers. Their claims processes is so great. You will never have to deal with anything you drop off your car and they will have a rental waiting for you. They will take your car to a repair facility and call you when it's done. When you get your rental car you don't have to put down a deposit or a major credit card (like most insurance companies) . Progressive does all the work you just set up a time that works for you to drop your car off it's that easy!

I decided to select this company from the others, base on advertising I have seen, about the " name your on price" option they offer. The price I named versus the companies quote was almosted doubled. I have a perfect driving record , a safe car, no accidents and the price they quoted for insurance was twice what I pay now. They have a nice, quick , helpful website . The quote I asked for took less then 5min. to complete, which was nice . However I wouldn't pay that for insurance. Below is a copy of my quote, I edit personal info out for my protection and privacy . Thank-you , I would not recommended purchasing the insurance , however I would recommended other companies use similar websites or quoting process.

Review:
We have been with Progressive Insurance for about a couple of years. One of our cars got damaged when a valet driver ran a stop sign and hit it. Since the valet’s insurance was taking a long time to pay us, Progressive made the payment first to us, and were the ones now claiming their reimbursement from the first company. My insurance rates stayed as they were, proof that the accident was not taken against me. I was very satisfied with how Progressive handled my claim. Furthermore, the progress and reports was very accessible for me to check online. I was likewise provided a direct contact to my adjuster. Progressive has been best insurance company I’ve ever had to deal with, and their Rep was always respectful and accommodating.

I’ve been insured by Progressive for three years already. I had two accidents in one year. The first one was not my fault. At that time, Progressive was quite accommodating. After I paid the deductible, I was compensated within a month. The second accident, though due to terrible weather, was my fault. The car was repaired quickly. It would have been a great experience, except that my alarm system was not working both times, and when I was informed to get my car, I had to be postponed another day to fix that, which was annoying, because I had to be absent from work once more.

Review:
I had been comparing the rates and reading reviews for car insurance, and found that there’s not one company with pure positive feedback. Because of this, I just decided to go with the lowest-priced among the more known companies. My 18-month old unused Progressive policy expired. Each time I tried to renew though, the rates they quoted me kept increasing. When I moved and changed states, my policy increased almost 40%. I’m not impressed with how they handled my requests for quotation, because they kept missing information, or have them wrong. Their computers displaying that I still owed them on a car, when I knew that I had paid it full at the onset. Good thing that I haven’t had any claims with them, and hoping that I won’t need one for six months at least, I shifted to another well-known company that’s $200 cheaper.

A drunk driver without insurance rear ended me. I was compensated for my medical bills and the repairs of my car. What they didn’t pay me was for the uninsured pain and suffering this has caused me. They claimed that this is uninsured, but I do not accept this, as they would have paid me for this had the drunk driver been insured. I’ve hired a lawyer to fight this with me.

Review:
Highest priced auto insurance company. My husband and I are in out thirties, we were never involved in an accident nor a violation, but we’re paying almost $1500/6 months for a six-year old truck.
I called Progressive to withdraw my policy, and inquired why it was so expensive. I got their standard reply that they review based on risk, etc. Then I was told “we understand that some policy holders are leaving due to the economy and going for cheaper insurance...”, and I thought to myself that their price increases was too outrageous to be all due to the economy. When I went to AIG, I was only paying $155, as opposed to $260 at Progressive, and this was at even more superior coverage.

Review:
I was with Progressive because aside from being cheaper when compared to other companies, and I heard that they have good customer service. When I got in an accident, I experienced this “customer service” myself, and let’s just say it’s not good at all. We’ve been in claims for over a year, then out of the blue, they required an ime of me, and have delayed giving me a report for 3 weeks. I’m still struggling to get better, but I can’t go to the doctor until we get the ime results. They seemingly have the information now, but they’re still dawdling. The adjuster assigned to me was always either “out of town” or just “stepped out of the office”. I don’t recommend this company for how badly they treated me, when the accident wasn’t my fault in the first place. Even if they’re less expensive, you’re better off paying a higher premium with another company just to be treated better.
