I just wanted to say to the lady about waiting 2 hours for a tow truck. That is the case with most insurance companies but I had a break down and my son had a break down while covered under Liberty Mutual. I called my own tow truck both times, paid the bill, mailed the receipt in and they sent me a check for reimbursement. You don't have to wait two hours in the cold.

I have Nationwide insurance now and they are pretty good, but sometimes not there in a way that I need them to be. So I did a Auto quote online for Liberty Mutual. I feeled out the forms and got a quote of $143.58/month. I pay much less than that where I am at now so decided to stay.

I believe this company is great , so far! Rates with higher coverage were only a few dollars higher a month or year! Quote questions were indepth and website was easy to use. below is a copy of quote.

I hit a pole one time, and wrecked my truck. It was the whole front that was damaged, and all my fault. I went online and filed a claim with Liberty Mutual. I was contacted the following day, and was told that I can bring the car to any repair shop or to one of their authorized dealers. I thought it better to send it to someone I trusted. The quote for repairs was even more expensive than the truck. When the adjuster visited, I was informed that the truck was totalled. They asked if I made any improvements on the truck, and if I had any receipts for those. They were efficient and professional. I got an adequately-priced check in 2 weeks. I expected my annual premium will increase dramatically, but it only went higher by $90.

My wife wrecked our S-10 when she hit another lady’s car on the way to work one morning. Liberty paid us the liability coverage within 3 weeks, and everything was back to normal afterwards.

You might get good prices from Liberty Mutual, but speaking from experience when I wanted to include my 16-year-old daughter in my policy, the rates went up from $1419 to $2980. That’s an astonishing 110%. Customer service is bad too, because they seldom return my phone calls or answer emails. If you’re from the metro area of MN, I really do not recommend Paul Plum, my agent. There will seem to be a lot of discounts, but the corporate takes them away eventually, and you’re left trapped in the contract until it expires.

I had Liberty Mutual for about 19 years. During that time, I’ve had no tickets, no accidents, and high credit rating. Suddenly though, at renewal time, my insurance increased by $350. I called to asked them why this is so. The first two calls weren’t able to answer me, while the third one told me that it’s because I only rent, and did not own my home. I just don’t get why that affects my rate. I think it’s discrimination.

I was with Liberty for a little less than a year. I had all sorts of discounts, even an employee discount. I then decided to compare quotes, and that’s when I realized that other companies were offering more coverage for half of the amount we were paying Liberty! I didn’t know how expensive they were until then!
Once, when an older car died on me, I called their roadside assistance. I had to wait 2 full hours for a tow truck. Some of the local police were there waiting with me. They helped me contact local towing companies to see if any were affiliated with Liberty, but there were none, though they could all be there in 30 minutes. So we all waited in the cold for 2 hours. I then terminated with Liberty and returned to AAA.
