Wouldn't pay my medical

I was rear ended by a guy who was speeding and not paying attention. It was terrifying and even the nurse at the scene of the accident remarked on how my heart was racing. The adjuster was very helpful. My car could not be repaired and was a total loss. The adjuster helped me with my claim and I have no issue with him at all, he was very nice and tried hard to give me great service. But the medical claims department is awful. I could not afford medical insurance so I couldn’t go to the emergency room. I went to the acupuncturist to get treated for the pain in my heart area and the aches all over my body. I paid $100 for two visits and my policy had $5000 coverage for medical payments. The medical claims adjuster wouldn’t pay for my treatment and I got stuck with the $100. They were cold and unsympathetic and totally uncaring about my situation.

Geico's commercials are all about saving you money but I've found that they're overpriced compared to many of the other companies out there, and instead of lowering your rates as time goes on they tend to raise them instead, so you end up paying more instead of saving more.

I’m a pleased Geico customer. No accidents but for a cracked windshield, which was restored without any trouble. I’d be honest and state first that I’m doing a project that compares car insurance quotes online. What I’ve learned is that Geico has the lowest rates in several states, but shockingly high prices in other areas. I don’t know why this is. A tip for those in Brooklyn, NY: save your time and skip Geico when you request for a quote. You can get others at about 80% cheaper.

I have heard some bad reviews, but I couldn’t fathom where they all came from. I have been with Geico for several years, and have never experienced bad service from them. My husband and I totalled out SUV a couple of years ago. We got a rental car in a while, and received a quote from Geico a few days after. They’re great! Everyone we were able to speak with knew what they were saying, and were very respectful. We have transferred to three different states, and have always received outstanding service from different Geico offices. I took my husband to the ER last night, and accidentally left the lights on in the truck. I called Geico, and they immediately sent someone to jumpstart our truck. Wonderful company!

I found it annoying that when I called Geico to request a quote, the rep asked me all sorts of questions that didn’t seem relevant. I don’t get why they need all the information from me. They needed to know what my occupation is. If I were lawyer, would I be a better driver than a waiter? They needed to know how many people are in my house? If it was just me, does that mean I’ll drive better than if there were 5 of us in the house? Putting that aside, I received $421.90 6-month policy quote. I thought it was decent, but it may just be because I’m a great driver. I might be able to get a competitive quote from another insurer, but I don’t want to go through all the hassle again. I always look for companies with excellent customer service. In the US, all the rights and privileges go to the corporations. At the very least, they should show respect to the people who need to get a car insurance, particularly since it’s required by law. I’ll look around more.

I called Geico for a quote, and I was given $700 for my two cars. I was going to get them already, when I was told that my rate would be $1400. I was told this is due to an at-fault accident which I reported to them, and it raised the rate double because they found out that the cost of that was $750. Very dishonest of them.

While I love Geico’s commercials and Warren Buffet behind the band, I think they’re really poor on customer service. Four years ago when I was with them, the agent was good, courteous, and helpful. But then, they would increase my premiums 3 times in 6 months, so I left them when I found another company with better rates. Now, I’m collecting insurance quotes, and received the worst customer service I’ve encountered. It’s as if they’re uninterested to get new customers. I can imagine how they would treat me if I were to file a claim. Don’t let them fool you into signing up.
