Easy to communicate with

I was shopping for insurance quotes on the internet when I saw that AIG had the most detailed application form, and they had a 24 hour 800 number I could call for my questions. Their quote was cheaper too by almost 50% when I compared with other companies. As of now, they are the best insurance company I have worked with. I will continue getting them in the future.
Awful service

Because we thought they had the most decent price, we stayed with AIG for 1/5 years. However, they really were not worth it. We would have paid for more if we had known how awful customer service would be, how our monthly payments did not stay constant but varied monthly, and how they could not answer questions right off the bat and say they had to “research,” but really won’t return the call.

Raises your payments once you're in

I read reviews in the past that AIG gives low quotes, then raises the premiums once you’re in, and I don’t know why I didn’t listen. The same thing happened to me, until I was paying $200 more than their quote. They’re difficult to get ahold of too. I don’t trust them, and would never recommend AIG to anyone.
